Entertaining in the Time of Covid

If you’re like us, you’re probably anxious to begin welcoming friends + family back into your home after weeks of quarantine. While everyone has varying levels of comfort, there are extra safety precautions + hosting concerns that were likely not a consideration pre-COVID. Always defer to your local health + safety guidelines but if you’re ready to resume entertaining, we’re sharing our suggestions for personal touches to put your guests (and yourself!) at ease.

FACE MASKS, BUT MAKE IT FASHION

If you or your guests feel more comfortable wearing masks during their stay, offer them a personalized mask to take home or a variety of fun, patterned masks to choose from.

SAFETY FIRST WELCOME BAGS

Put guests' minds at ease by providing everything they need to safely enjoy their stay at their bedside: face masks, a small assortment of single-serving snacks, hand sanitizer, and tech wipes.

EMBRACE AL FRESCO ENTERTAINING

Build the weekend around the great outdoors and when possible, take the activity outside! Morning hikes, picnics with individual boxed lunches, outdoor movie nights, lawn games - there's no shortage of creative ways to keep guests entertained.

BUILD YOUR OWN BAR

From brunch to cocktail hour, create easy, self-serve bars that allow guests to customize their food + drinks throughout their stay.

DOUBLE DOWN ON SERVINGWARE

We love family-style dining but in an effort to limit unecessary contact we’d suggest doubling down on servingware - one serving dish per ‘quarantine pod’.

SEND THEM PACKING (WITH LUNCH)

With fewer restaurants open + operating at full capacity, prepare a bagged lunch for your guests so they’re not stuck searching for sustenance on the road.
