COPPER + CREAM // E + L

Take us back to this wedding + this couple! Working with E + L on all of the small details for their big day was such a dream. Their August wedding in the Catskills was full of love + laughter.

E + L invited their guests to join them the day before the wedding at their favorite swimming hole, which helped set the tone for the warm + authentic celebration that followed.

The wedding ceremony took place  on their neighbor's property, which is where L popped the question. The party continued across the country road at the couple's cabin.

COPPER + CREAM // SURPRISE 30TH BIRTHDAY

This lucky lady's thoughtful husband wanted to throw her an intimate cocktail party to celebrate her 30th birthday. Despite the frigid temps and snow-packed sidewalks, the mood inside this cozy venue was nothin' but warm.

CREAM OF THE CROP // NANTUCKET

STAY: If you’re lucky enough to have friends with a Nantucket zip code, make your summer reservation early, but don’t show up empty-handed! One of our favorite hostess gifts is refillable hand soap from Boston-based Follain. There is an island outpost for easy refill. If a quiet weekend getaway is more your speed, look no further than the White Elephant Village.

SIP: Hop on over to Cisco Brewers, loved by locals and tourists alike. Uber is available on the ACK, so getting home safely is a cinch!

NIBBLE: Cookouts are king, so swing by the charming Souza’s Seafood and pick up the catch of the day. Looking to leave the cooking and cleaning to someone else? The Grey Lady is your go to.

EXPLORE: Have yourself one helluva beach-cruising, paddle-boarding, window-shopping, dinner-partying good time!

CREAM OF THE CROP // PACIFIC NORTHWEST

STAY: Stay at the ultra-hip Ace Hotel in downtown Portland. The second location in the hotel’s portfolio, this property epitomizes Portland’s eclectic vibe.

SIP: Booze while you browse the racks at E. Smith Mercantile. A bar in the back of this shop provides seasonal herbal, fruit and floral infusions in combination with classic cocktail recipes.

NIBBLE: With so many good options, we’re highlighting just a few of our faves: The London Plane and The Walrus and the Carpenter, both located in Seattle, WA; graze your way through Portland at the Pine Street Market and the Portland Famer’s Market (don’t miss the Pine State Biscuits)!

EXPLORE: Visit the International Rose Test Garden and Portland’s Japanese Garden. Take a day trip to the Columbia River Gorge where you can white water raft or hike. Visit Cannon Beach on the Oregon Coast. Head to Washington State’s San Juan Island for an afternoon of whale watching or set sail across Seattle’s Puget Sound. For travelers looking to pick up a memento to remember the trip, visit some of our favorite little shops in Portland: Alder & Co., WM Goods, Frances May, and Backtalk.

COPPER + CREAM // BRIDAL SHOWER

Pair a mani + pedi with mimosas and your best gal pals and you've got yourself one helluva bridal shower. The bride's sister wanted to create a laid-back California-vibe in the middle of New York City, so we dressed up Tenoverten SoHo's dreamy patio with palm print pillows, proteas, and shibori-dyed cocktail napkins. The result had us all California dreamin'!

CREAM OF THE CROP // SOUTH AFRICA'S WINE COUNTRY

STAY: Located in the Drakenstein Valley, Babylonstoren is one of the oldest Cape Dutch farms. The farm buildings have been transformed into charming guest suites that epitomize approachable luxury.

SIP: Located in Stellenbosch, the Delaire Graff Estate's art-filled wine tasting lounge offered the perfect venue to relax over a glass (or two) of local wine.

NIBBLE: For an award winning multi-course meal, look no further than The Tasting Room at Le Quartier Français. For a leisurely, romantic, and boozy lunch, Le Petite Ferme is a must. When the weather permits, snag a table outside!

EXPLORE: Spend the day exploring the small town of Franschhoek. Dotted with cafes, galleries, and home good stores, passing the time in this quaint town had us wishing that there were more hours in the day.
